Schneider Downs Announces 2016 Promotions

Schneider Downs is pleased to announce that the following employees have been promoted to senior manager and manager effective July 1, 2016: 

SENIOR MANAGER

Aaron M. Dolan (Administration) began 25-year career in operations and facilities management in his native Rochester, NY.  He joined the firm in 2005.  Aaron lives in Bethel Park, PA with his wife, Mary Ann, and their three children.

Natalie K. Donovan (Human Resources) joined the firm in October of 2007.  She received her B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.  Natalie lives in Westerville, OH, with her husband, Brian, and their twin boys. 

Ryan T. Link (Tax) joined the firm in 2008.  He earned his B.S. in Accounting and Masters of Accounting from Bowling Green State University.  Ryan lives in Galloway, OH with his wife, Melissa, and their two children. 

Brian W. Matthews (Audit) joined Schneider Downs in 2007 after graduating from Robert Morris University with a B.S.B.A. and M.S. in Accounting.  Brian resides in Ross Township with his wife, Jamie and their son.

Christy L. Samek (Business Advisors) graduated from Eastern University with a B.S. in Accounting and joined Schneider Downs in 2001. Christy currently resides in North Huntingdon, PA, with her husband, Johnny, and their four children.  

Theresa M. Sekely (Wealth Management) joined the firm in 2004.  She received a B.S. in Mathematics and Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Theresa lives South Park, PA, with her husband, Brian, and their three daughters.

Mark J. Shumaker (Marketing) joined the firm in 2011 after working at the Ohio Society of CPAs.  He received his B.S. in Marketing and Management from Franklin University as well as a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University.  Mark resides in Upper Arlington, OH, with his wife, Marci, and their daughter.  

MANAGER

Eric M. Fair (IT Risk Advisory) joined the firm in 2011.  He received his Master of Science degrees in both Internet Information Systems and Accounting. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Internet Information Systems from Robert Morris University and M.S. in Accounting from Liberty University.  Eric lives in Weirton, WV, with his wife, Jamie, and their daughter.

Brian A. Kohut (Tax) is a graduate of Robert Morris University with a Master’s of Science in Taxation. Brian joined Schneider Downs in 2015 after working for Henry Rossi & Co. and Oxford Development.  He lives in Forest Hills, PA.

Logan W. Kowcheck (Audit) joined Schneider Downs in 2011 after receiving his Bachelors in Accounting from Bethany College, and a Master of Professional Accountancy from WVU. He also has a graduate certificate in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation.

Brittany J. Lockerman (Audit) joined Schneider Downs in January 2010.  She received her B.S. in Business Administration, with a Concentration in Accounting, from Robert Morris University. She currently lives in Natrona Heights, PA, with her fiancé, Chris.

Rosemary N. Mazzeo (Risk Advisory Services) graduated from Point Park University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Shortly before graduation, Rosemary started with Schneider Downs as an intern in August of 2010. Rosemary lives in Canonsburg with her husband, Mark, and their two dogs and two cats.

Matthew O. McNeal (Audit) joined Schneider Downs in 2014 after beginning his career with Hemphill & Associates, Inc.  He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University. Matthew lives in Columbus, OH, with his wife, Kate.

Benjamin P. O’Leary (Audit) joined Schneider Downs in January 2011 after graduating from Slippery Rock University, where he received his B.S. in Accounting. He also received an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Ben lives in Turtle Creek, PA.

Lauren K. Palermo (Audit) graduated from Robert Morris University with a degree in Accounting prior to joining Schneider Downs in 2010. Lauren lives in Mars, PA, with her husband, Joe.

Sarah R. Piot (Tax) joined the firm in 2002 after graduating from Robert Morris University with a B.S. in Accounting.  Sarah lives in Clinton, PA, with her husband, Justin, and their two sons. 

Brian C. Reitz (Audit) graduated from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, where he received a B.S. in Accounting. Brian began his accounting career at a large accounting firm in New York.  He joined Schneider Downs in 2015. He lives in Edgewood, PA with his wife, Katie.

Daniel A. Riske (Business Advisory) joined Schneider Downs in 2008.  He earned his B.S. in Accounting from West Liberty University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. He currently lives in Dormont, PA with his wife, Bridgette.

Mark A. Sarver (Audit) joined Schneider downs in 2009 after graduating from Robert Morris University with a degree in Business Administration. Mark currently lives in Whitehall, PA.

David J. Snyder (IT Risk Advisory) graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor in Management Information Systems. Dave began his career in accounting with PwC in 1999 and then worked with First Energy from 2001 until joining Schneider Downs in 2014.  David lives in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Squirrel Hill with his wife, Kate, and their two children.

Laura M. Sowerby (Marketing) joined Schneider Downs in 1998 following her graduation from Westminster College with a B.S. in Business Administration.  Laura lives in Mt. Lebanon, PA, with her husband, Jim, and their two children.
