Don Applegarth, Audit Shareholder, spoke to Anya Litvak at the Pittsburgh Business Times about a new committee formed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) to address IFRS for small and medium sized private companies.
The article, "New committee to weigh accounting standards for small businesses", says that the committee’s goal is to make a recommendation to the AICPA and the FAF whether a separate set of accounting standards should be developed for small businesses.
