On November 4, 2009, Schneider Downs Corporate Finance hosted its 8th annual Pittsburgh seminar titled “Getting Deals Done – New Considerations in the M&A Market” which featured panelists Peter J. Lieberman, Patricia M. Warrick, Don A. Linzer and Joel M. Rosenthal. More than 140 people attended the event at the Duquesne Club.

Mr. Lieberman highlighted the current thawing of the mergers and acquisitions environment and provided an introduction to business valuation approaches and issues. Ms. Warrick provided insights into merger and acquisition deal processes as well as the fundamentals of structuring a successful transaction in today’s climate. Mr. Linzer discussed the importance of tax planning and shared his expertise regarding allocation of purchase price. Mr. Rosenthal reviewed key topics concerning the due diligence phase of a transaction.

Schneider Downs Corporate Finance will be hosting its annual Columbus seminar in early 2010. For information regarding either seminar, please contact Peter Lieberman at 412.697.5364 or plieberman@schneiderdowns.com or Patricia Warrick at 412.697-5393 or twarrick@schneiderdowns.com.
