Schneider Downs maintains a comprehensive, dedicated employee benefit plan practice within our firm. The employee benefit plan practice provides audit and related services to more than 150 clients.

Our employee benefit plan services include:

  • Audits of pension, health and welfare, 401(k) and employee stock option plans subject to the Employee Retirement Income Sercuity Act (ERISA) under the regulatory authority of the U.S. Department of Labor
  • Preparation of IRS Form 5500 and summary annual reports
  • Plan consulting, recordkeeping and statement preparation, loan and distribution compliance, government reporting, discrimination and top-heavy testing
  • Fiduciary reviews/audits

Our expertise in the employee benefits arena enables us to provide timely, well-researched answers to your most important questions and to accurately address your needs with a solid foundation of knowledge that only experience can provide. We are dedicated to proactively communicating with you throughout the year to plan our services and to keep you abreast of developments.

Members of our Employee Benefit Plan Industry Group stay current in this highly technical practice area by attending the AICPA conference on employee benefit plans and through regular participation in the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center webcasts throughout the year.  Our group conducts several internal training sessions each year to educate our professionals on new employee benefit plan developments and regulations, as well as provide best practice procedures to ensure our audits are conducted in the most effective and efficient manner.
