Fred J. Morelli

Fred has over 30 years of experience advising privately held businesses in the areas of strategic planning, financial assessment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, restructuring of financially troubled companies and estate planning. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Fred was the President of Allied Electric Supply Company. Prior to that, Fred spent 23 years in various leadership roles in the public accounting sector, and served as the President of a large, Pittsburgh-based accounting firm for 12 years.
Fred's transaction experience encompasses the sale of Allied Electric Supply Company to the Dutch conglomerate Hagemeyer NA; the refinancing of Strauss Industries by National City and advising ABARTA, Inc. on strategic acquisition opportunities, including the acquisition of Kahaki Foods in a take-private transaction.
In addition, Fred's financial and executive management experience includes the structuring and managing of an angel investment fund and a software development company.
Fred received a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Fred holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 Securities licenses, as well as a Pennsylvania Life and Health Insurance license.
