Don, who became a shareholder of Schneider Downs & Co., Inc. in 1985, performs tax consulting for the firm. He has broad expertise in estate and business succession planning, tax planning for closely held corporations and S corporations, compensation planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning for emerging technology companies and manufacturers, venture capital and partnership taxation. Don assists in raising equity and venture capital financing for emerging technology companies. A frequent contributor to business and tax publications, Don has served as keynote speaker for many organizations, including the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the SMC Business Councils.
In addition, Don is the chairman of Schneider Downs’ Specialty Tax Group and the managing partner of Schneider Downs Corporate Finance, L.P. and Schneider Downs Wealth Management Advisors, L.P.
