As many of you know, Schneider Downs is a founding member of IGAF Polaris, the third-largest association of accounting firms in the world. For the past two years, I’ve served as Chair of the IGAF Polaris World Board, providing me with a front row seat to the rapid evolution of global commerce – and the growing need for top-tier accounting services in countries across the world.

The association continues to grow and expand, and currently is composed of more than 350 successful firms from more than 90 countries worldwide.

This week, IGAF Polaris formally announced its name change to PrimeGlobal. The name change was reflective of the increasing success of the organization. This identity was selected to more clearly communicate the worldwide presence of PrimeGlobal and the strength of its membership. (It’s also easier to remember than IGAF Polaris.)

There has never been a better time to learn about PrimeGlobal. We’ve recently launched our new website, from which you can learn all about the scope and reach of our association. I encourage you to visit this site, or to review the attached news links from industry journals that have covered this name change.

As my tenure as IGAF Polaris World Chair concludes, I believe that this name change – and the messages behind it – provide a perfect cap to my experiences. While I’ll be nostalgic for my leadership position, I’m comforted by the knowledge that the relationships I’ve forged with fellow firm members will only continue to grow.
