Jason Lumpkin Awarded with Martin Rosenberg Academic Achievement Award
Pittsburgh, PA – Jason Lumpkin, Senior Manager of Pension and Benefits Services at Schneider Downs, is a recipient of the Martin Rosenberg Academic Achievement Award because of his outstanding performance on the spring 2012 Defined Contribution Administrative Issues – Compliance Issues (D-2) examination. This award is given by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) to recognize the top-performing examination candidates.
The Martin Rosenberg Academic Achievement Award honors its namesake, the late Martin Rosenberg, a fellow of ASPPA. Rosenberg served as an ASPPA Education and Examination Committee member from 1979 to 1985 and was its general chairperson from 1985 until his death in 1987. The award recognizes the top-performing candidates each year based on credential education examinations. Mr. Lumpkin will be presented the award at the ASPPA Annual Conference on Sunday, October 28.
Mr. Lumpkin has nearly 13 years of qualified plan advisory experience, primarily serving small-market and middle-market businesses. His background includes plan design, documentation and ongoing administration of qualified retirement plans. Mr. Lumpkin currently serves as the relationship manager for a group of qualified retirement plans, and his duties include plan design, conversions, technical research and ongoing administration for defined contribution plans. He joined Schneider Downs in the specialty tax department in January 2000 and is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
ASPPA is a national organization of retirement plan and benefits professionals that serves as the educator, voice, and advocate for the employer-based retirement system.
