Schneider Downs Appoints Sean P. Smith as Chief Marketing Officer
Regional Accounting Firm Expands Management Team with Appointment of CMO
PITTSBURGH— Schneider Downs, a top-60 certified public accounting and business advisory firm in the United States, is proud to announce that Sean P. Smith has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer effective immediately. In this newly created role, Mr. Smith will oversee the strategic development, direction and implementation of all marketing efforts for the firm and will draw upon his expertise to help guide Schneider Downs to its next growth stage.

Mr. Smith will be responsible for implementing strategic and tactical marketing initiatives designed to drive growth, market awareness and brand recognition. He will continue to lead the firm’s marketing team in creating and executing an innovative marketing, brand, and business development strategy.
Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Mr. Smith spent more than 20 years working in the advertising industry, supervising major accounts including Rite Aid, GlaxoSmithKline, Bryant Heating & Cooling, Mellon Financial Corporation and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mr. Smith joined Schneider Downs in May 2007 as Director of Marketing.
Mr. Smith received a B.S. in Journalism from Bowling Green University. He is a member of the Professional Services Marketing Association, as well as the Association for Accounting Marketing, and has presented at numerous national conferences and seminars on the subject of marketing.
