Schneider Downs is excited to have been one of the cosponsors of the “Anti-Fraud Forum” sponsored by Mylan Labs on September 17. The forum was an all-day event with a great roster of speakers including:

James Ratley, President of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners;
Sam Antar, Former CFO of Crazy Eddie and convicted for fraud;
Andrew Richards, retired fraud team leader -Western District of PA and Northern District
  of WV, United States Postal Investigators Service;
Dean Bunch, Partner Ernst & Young; and
Our very own partner, Don Owens, Schneider Downs Internal Audit Shareholder

The presentations commenced with Corporate fraud awareness in today’s regulated environment and continued to discuss how frauds are committed, how frauds are discovered and investigated and how internal auditors and management can initiate controls to mitigate the risk of fraud within their own organizations.

The event was well attended, with close to 200 IIA, ACFE and other risk management attendees.

If you were unable to attend the event, feel free to contact me at nsaldamarco@schneiderdowns.com.  If you are member of the IIA or the ACFE, you can find all the presentations posted on their respective Pittsburgh chapter websites.
