Schneider Downs Welcomes New Senior Manager

Heather R. Collins, CPA Joins Schneider Downs Tax Advisory Services Practice

PITTSBURGH—Schneider Downs, a top-60 certified public accounting and business advisory firm in the United States, announced that Heather R. Collins, CPA joined the firm’s Tax Advisory Services Practice as a Senior Manager.

Ms. Collins brings 13 years of public accounting experience, including nine at one of the big four accounting firms, to Schneider Downs and will be responsible for overseeing tax planning, consulting and compliance services.  She has extensive experience with C corporation tax technical issues in a variety of industries and has worked with a number of companies to review their tax provisions and develop their internal tax controls. 

In addition, Ms. Collins specializes in the design, setup, installation and implementation of tax provision and compliance software.  She has experience implementing tax system solutions, including Corptax and ONESOURCE, as well as assessing a company’s tax resources, processes and policies to identify ways to streamline their tax function.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Collins served as Director in McGladrey’s National Tax Group, where she provided tax compliance co-sourcing/outsourcing and tax technology services.

Ms. Collins received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Duquesne University.  She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
