The Schneider Downs cybersecurity practice is introducing several new cybersecurity awareness resources for the 18th annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Cybersecurity Awareness Month takes place annually every October and is a joint effort between the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The initiative was introduced in 2003 to help ensure Americans have the resources to keep themselves secure online at work and home. The theme for this year is a continuation of 2020’s “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart” narrative.
In support of the Federal initiative, the Schneider Downs cybersecurity practice is introducing several new resources over the course of October to help educate and protect clients and communities from cyber threats.
“Cybersecurity Awareness Month is when the spotlight is on cybersecurity, but we know first-hand that threat actors are attacking targets of all sizes every month, week, day, hour and minute,” said Eric Wright, Shareholder. “Educating end users is a critical first step in any organization’s cybersecurity posture and we hope our resources can help everyone to some degree.”
The new Cybersecurity Awareness Month open-access resources are available at www.schneiderdowns.com/ncsam and include:
In our ten-part video series, the Schneider Downs cybersecurity team answers the most commonly asked questions they have encountered on the frontlines over the past calendar year. The first five videos cover topics including cybersecurity insurance premiums, phishing, password blacklisting, penetration testing and Purple Team assessments. The full series is accessible at https://vimeo.com/showcase/8866271 with additional videos releasing throughout the second half of the month.
This one-hour webinar hosted by members of the Schneider Downs cybersecurity team will explore several aspects of a Purple Team assessment, including what exactly a Purple Team Assessment is, how the exercise works and the tangible benefits of the process. Attendees will qualify for 1 CPE and a replay will be available to all registrants following the live event.
Registration is open until 11/9. Register here.
These new resources - and others - are available year-round on the Schneider Downs cybersecurity resource center.
