OUR THOUGHTS ON:

Do You Have Ten Minutes?

Audit

By Kimberly James

In the same amount of time that you can stop by Starbucks and pick up your favorite beverage, you can now earn CPE in the State of Ohio.  In early June, The Accountancy Board of Ohio approved a change to allow Ohio CPA’s to earn CPE credit in as little as 10 minutes and apply it to the 120 hour requirements.  The Ohio Society worked with the Ohio Accountancy Board and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy in order to bring about this change.  Previously, Ohio CPA’s could only earn CPE in 50 minute increments.  This change, along with the on demand library being developed by the OSCPA is available to CPA’s on-line and on their mobile devices, allows professionals to perform self-study courses to learn about topics that are relevant to them at a moment’s notice and get credit for it.
