International Fraud Awareness Week 2021

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) celebrates the annual International Fraud Awareness Week this year from November 14th to 20th.

Schneider Downs is proud to once again be a supporter of Fraud Week. We have a long and established role in the fraud investigation and awareness field, through the numerous investigations we’ve performed over the years and our sponsorship of the annual Fraud and Corruption Awareness Seminar. Our Consulting group includes several Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), including the president of the Greater Pittsburgh chapter of the ACFE.

Some of the CFEs in our group have written Our Thoughts On articles, listed below. This year we chose a sports theme for our articles as a fun way to discuss topics that apply to many different professions and organizations and the games fraudsters play.

While we may only focus on Fraud Week one week per year in this way, the professionals in our Consulting group educate, assist, and prepare our clients throughout the year with their unique fraud concerns.

About International Fraud Awareness Week

ACFE's International Fraud Awareness Week is an opportunity for anti-fraud professionals and communities to come together to look at how far reaching the effects of fraud can be. Check out our Schneider Downs Business Consulting LinkedIn page throughout the week for additional information from the ACFE.

If you have questions or concerns about fraud in your organization, contact Tom Pratt at [email protected] or Brian Webster [email protected].
