January through April can be brutal. The weather in Pittsburgh is unpredictable at best and the people I work with are consumed by various deadlines. Despite their preoccupation with April 15-April 17 in 2012-and seemingly lack of time to do much of anything that isn’t related to client work, my work in the marketing department doesn’t slow down.
1. Our professionals haven’t stopped marketing. Our CPAs are talking to their clients every day, and they are listening to client’s issues and learning about new opportunities. At times, some of the opportunities and issues fall outside the scope of the engagement like a fraud investigation or a cost segregation study on a new building. It’s cross-selling at its finest.
2. Audit and tax is not all that Schneider Downs does. Just ask our CEO, Raymond W. Buehler, Jr. He can recite the list of 80 + services from memory. With five business units each offering their own suite of services, there is never a dull moment in this place. Trust me.
3. What did Hannibal Smith from The A-Team say? “I love it when a plan comes together!” and so does the Schneider Downs Marketing Team. We’re eight members strong and spend countless hours planning a gamut of different campaigns. What was just a thought at last summer’s industry group meeting, is now in the hands (or inboxes) of our clients and prospects.
The office may be more quiet that usual on April 18. However, you can take comfort in knowing that the Schneider Downs Marketing Team will be hard at work planning for 2013.
