On April 11, Business First held its Corporate Caring awards. This annual luncheon recognizes and honors exemplary for-profit-companies that are creatively dedicating their resources to a variety of not-for-profit organizations through financial, in-kind and volunteer contributions. This year, 80 small, medium and large central Ohio companies were nominated in the categories of arts, education, environment, health and human services. A selection committee of four judges, representing various nonprofits, awards 40 companies as finalists, and they are invited to the awards banquet in hopes of becoming a Corporate Caring award winner.
Hundreds of Central Ohio nonprofit and corporate professionals attended the Corporate Caring luncheon, and David Brown of The Harmony Project gave a moving keynote speech.
Schneider Downs is excited to be chosen as one of the 40 Corporate Caring finalists this year. “Schneider Downs has always had a spirit of giving,” said Jay Meglich, shareholder. “Whether through our annual Nonprofit Symposium or our employees giving of their time or monetary donations, we understand that giving back to central Ohio is important for the health of our community. We’re very proud of the commitment our firm – and our individuals – have made to the community, and it’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts."
