Postcard from the 2012 EACUBO Pittsburgh Workshop

For the fourth consecutive year, Schneider Downs, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Area Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO), co-sponsored the 2012 EACUBO Pittsburgh Workshop, which was held on November 7, 2012 at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry, PA.

This year’s workshop included informative and timely subjects impacting the higher education community including the importance of business ethics within the higher ed community, risks surrounding the use of both cloud computing and social media, bond compliance issues, interpreting and evaluating financial statements and of course accounting and tax updates.

This year’s event was a great success, with a turnout this year of about 75 registrants. Speakers included employees from Schneider Downs, as well as companies such as M&T Bank, Buchanon Ingersoll & Rooney PC, and Duquesne University. Schneider Downs is already looking forward to next year’s event.

If you have any questions on this year’s event or its topics, or if you would like to participate in the planning for next year’s event, please contact Chuck Oshurak at 412.697.5396 or
