Postcard from the 2010 EACUBO Pittsburgh Workshop

Schneider Downs & Co., Inc., in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Area Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO), cosponsored the 2010 EACUBO Pittsburgh Workshop, which was held on May 24, 2010 at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry, PA.

This was the second year in a row that Schneider Downs was a sponsor of this annual update. This year’s workshop covered very informative and timely subjects impacting the higher education community, including accounting updates (both FASB and GASB), legal and tax updates, regulatory compliance, and investment methodology.

This year’s event was a great success, with a turnout of about 75 registrants. Speakers included Schneider Downs employees, as well as representatives from Duquesne Light, Reed Smith LLP, and Cornerstone Investments. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.
