Schneider Downs Wraps Up Another Successful United Way Campaign

For over 15 years, Schneider Downs has sponsored a company-wide campaign supporting the United Way and its many programs.  With this year’s campaign contributions, the firm will have raised over $1 million total for the United Way, impacting so many in need.

Mary Richter, shareholder in the Pittsburgh office, is one of several individuals from Schneider Downs who helped run this year’s campaign by assisting in the organization of firm-wide events and increasing employee involvement.

“Our individual contributions really do help people in our communities,” Richter said.  “Helping keep or get folks out of a bad situation, providing assistance to frail seniors, veterans, whatever you’re passionate about, the United Way is working to help those in need.”

At the Columbus office, Kathleen Cannell has been putting in a lot of time to help organize the many activities and events the firm has planned to fundraise for the United Way campaign.

“I’ve been helping out with the United Way campaign for the past several years,” Cannell said.  “I enjoy knowing we are helping people in need, and the effort it takes to put this all together is well worth it.”

This year the firm has pledged to match the first $75 donated by each employee, helping make an even larger contribution.

From happy hours, to trivia nights, jeans days and raffles, employees have had the opportunity to donate to a great cause and enjoy many fun activities.  The firm, as a whole, has definitely shown that it is in the giving spirit this year, and through all the fundraising and support, the employees of Schneider Downs have proven that they will continue to stand by the firm’s mission statement: Working together every day to make our firm, clients and communities better.
