My internship experience at Schneider Downs has been truly unique. Before starting at Schneider Downs, I had anticipated that my internship would resemble what most would consider a typical internship experience. I envisioned working in the field and interacting with the audit team, but I presumed my assignments would be limited to small projects and that I would have minimal contact with clients. These assumptions could not be further from what I experienced at Schneider Downs this summer.
From day one, I was treated as part of the team. I was given meaningful assignments and encouraged to ask questions to truly understand the work that I was completing. Not only that, but I was introduced to clients and encouraged to reach out to them whenever necessary. Because of these experiences, I have been able to obtain a better understanding of what being an auditor is really like, which ultimately made my time at Schneider Downs invaluable.
