OUR THOUGHTS ON:

Pennsylvania Department of Revenue Redesigns Website to Improve User Experience

State and Local Tax

By Timothy Adams

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (“PADOR”) recently introduced their new and improved website.  It is intended to offer improvements in design and functionality.

The PADOR specifically highlights three new features and capabilities of the department’s website.

  • Enhanced search capabilities;
  • Responsive design; and
  • More intuitive navigation

The PADOR describes the search capabilities of the new website to be a “drastic improvement” to the prior search functionality.  Second, the design improvements allows better access and easier use from mobile devices as the site automatically responds to the device from which it is being accessed.  Third, navigation is touted to be more intuitive as a result of fly-out menus and footers that offer more content before the user’s first click.

The PADOR encourages you to explore the new website and report any errors or problems via email.
