Why We Focus on Industry Specialization

On November 30, 2022, the Schneider Downs industry group leaders gathered for a team dinner – essentially a meeting of the minds among of our subject matter experts across many of the industries we serve. 

The dinner marked the one-year anniversary of Schneider Downs’ efforts to further enhance our commitment to the industries we serve most commonly. Team leaders from all of industry groups celebrated their collective efforts over the year. Each group is individually challenged to identify and meet client needs that are unique to each industry, as well as to create opportunities for both professional and social networking. Additionally, team leaders are also challenged to identify new client opportunities as part of the firm’s commitment to ongoing growth. Our firm is always looking to grow, and our industry group leaders help fuel those efforts. 

We believe that our industry groups bring value to our clients through experience, expertise and our dedication to specialization across multiple business units of the firm:

No two industries are the same, and having teams dedicated to such specialization benefits the clients, and also provides professional development opportunities for our team members. We believe it is an important differentiator for Schneider Downs.

Today, we have over 100 industry group team members focused on nurturing and cultivating relationships in their sector. The industry group leaders provide the direction and coordination of our firm’s resources to achieve its Vision 2030 strategy.  

The team dinner on November 30th presented an opportunity for all groups to compare notes and best practices, but it was also a chance to celebrate their success and commitment. These leaders created the infrastructure of team management, vision and most importantly, execution of that strategy. (In fairness, I should also note that this is a group that always enjoys a good meal.)
