Schneider Downs Announces Seven New Members to Ownership Group

PITTSBURGH, PA-- Schneider Downs, one of the 60 largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the United States, is proud to announce the addition of five new shareholders, as well as two new partners to its affiliate, Schneider Downs Wealth Management Advisors, LP. This matches the largest single-year addition to the leadership team in the firm’s 65-year history.

The new promotions reach across several areas of the firm’s service offerings, including the firm’s tax, audit and consulting practices, as well as the growing wealth management practice.

Included among those promoted to Shareholder at Schneider Downs are:

Adam J. Goode (Pittsburgh, PA) joined Schneider Downs in 2007, following seven years of work within the private sector. He leads the firm’s Accounting Advisory Services Group along with Nick Lombardo (see below). Adam is a graduate of Robert Morris University. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and was a recipient of the 2015 PICPA Young Leader Award.

Tony P. Ielase (Columbus, OH) joined the firm in 2019 as Director of Risk Advisory Services. He holds a BSBA in Accounting from Clarion University and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Nicholas D. Lombardo (Columbus) joined Schneider Downs in 2004. He leads the firm’s Accounting Advisory Services Group along with Adam Goode (see above). Nick is a graduate of Capital University and a member of the American and Ohio Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Sarah R. Piot (Pittsburgh) joined the firm in 2002 and specializes in providing tax services to tax-exempt organizations (including institutions of higher education). She is a graduate of Robert Morris University and a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Matthew C. Werner (Pittsburgh) joined the firm in 2019 as a tax senior manager and serves clients in the public, private and emerging-growth global organizations sectors. He is a graduate of Duquesne University and a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

The following professionals were named Partner to Schneider Downs Wealth Management Advisors, LP (SDWMA):

David C. Brinkman, CFA, CPA, CFP®, CPFA (Columbus) has been an Investment Relationship Manager with SDWMA since 2016.  David is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner^TM Practitioner and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor. David is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is a member of the CFA Society of Columbus and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jason R. Staley, CFA, CAIA^® (Pittsburgh) joined SDWMA in 2016 as Director of Research and Due Diligence. Jason is a graduate of Mercyhurst University and is both a Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and is a member of many investment-related organizations.
