Schneider Downs Meridian Adds Three Consultants

PITTSBURGH, PA—Schneider Downs & Co., Inc. announces the additions of James Giombetti, Louis Marcoccia, Ed.D. and Richard Roupe to its subsidiary Schneider Downs Meridian.

Schneider Downs Meridian is a practice within the firm that specializes in the areas of management and strategic consulting, corporate restructuring and debt financing. The group works with clients ranging from closely held businesses to large publicly traded corporations located throughout the United States. The practice serves a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, distribution and service. Schneider Downs Meridian was fully formed in 2015, when Schneider Downs & Co., Inc. acquired The Meridian Group.

James Giombetti has over 30 years of experience with a highly specialized skill set and expertise with high-net-worth businesses across the globe. His subject matter expertise includes commerce, international trade, supply chain management, economic development and solution thought leadership. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Giombetti served as Chief Marketing Officer for Aelera Corporation which was acquired by AT&T.

Louis Marcoccia, Ed.D. is an accomplished financial and operations professional who has presided over a broad spectrum of higher education responsibilities. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Marcoccia was on the senior leadership team of Syracuse University, serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In his roles, he has been responsible for financial planning and budgeting, controller and treasury functions, internal auditing, cash, endowment and investments, accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, and payroll, campus planning, design and construction, intercollegiate athletics and compliance, risk management, environmental health and safety, public safety, physical plant, energy management, and auxiliary enterprises and corporations.

Richard Roupe has over 40 years of experience solving complex problems for distribution, manufacturing and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, Roupe served as the CFO and board member of a large consumer branded manufacturing company with operations in USA, Europe and Asia, with customers in over 150 countries. His extensive skills include financing, planning, accounting, banking relations, risk management and investment management. His broad skill set, experience in solving a multitude of difficult corporate situations and ability to build teams of high-performing professionals will be an asset to Schneider Downs Meridian’s varied client roster.
