Schneider Downs Welcomes National Security Agency (NSA) Veteran David B. Murphy as Lead Cybersecurity Analyst

PITTSBURGH, PA — Schneider Downs, a top 55 certified public accounting and business advisory firm with a leading Cybersecurity practice, announced that David B. Murphy, has joined the firm’s Pittsburgh office as a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst.

David joins the firm with over ten years of experience and was previously a consultant with the National Security Agency (NSA) Computer Network Operations (CNO) team with the Targeting and Exploitation Operations (TEO) division. He also served nine years in the United States Air Force (USAF), as both active duty and a member of the reserves, during which time he worked as a Network Intelligence Analyst (NIA) and a Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) Analyst at the NSA, who was dedicated to finding vulnerabilities in target systems.

Cybersecurity consulting has emerged as one of Schneider Downs’ most rapidly-growing practices. The practice currently employs 36 IT risk advisory and cybersecurity consultants, working with clients across the country. Services provided include IT governance/risk/compliance (GRC) services, penetration testing, cybersecurity program assessments, and IT audits, among others.

David received his B.A. in Intelligence Studies from the American Military University. He is certified as a CNO Exploitation Analyst and Journeyman Network Intelligence Analyst, and has also complete courses in Network+, Security+, CEH, CCNA, GCIH and is an honor graduate of the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC).
