In a recent OANO survey of Ohio’s nonprofit organization, 48% of respondents reported that they tapped their reserve funds in 2010. Seventy percent of respondents also indicated they had less than three months of operating reserves. Cash flow management is a struggle for most nonprofits. 

A regular analysis of your organization’s cash flow can help you take the steps necessary to head off cash flow problems.

• How to calculate an appropriate amount of reserves based on analysis projections;
• Strategies for improving short and long-term cash flow problems.
