Your financial institution runs on information, much of it confidential. Balancing the security of data, and making sure third party vendors are as committed to protecting consumer information as you are can be overwhelming.

Schneider Downs and Weltman, Weinberg & Reis cordially invite you to attend our 2015 Financial Services Compliance and Security Update. This free, four-hour seminar will explore third party vendor management issues and FFIEC's new Cybersecurity Self-Assessment Tool.

This course is designed for anyone responsible for protecting customer data or preventing, identifying and mitigating risk.

Third Party Vendor Management

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, through its regulations, guidance and enforcement actions, continues to shape the landscape of consumer financial markets.

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis attorney Jennifer Monty Rieker will discuss the important areas that continue to be hot-button issues for providers of consumer financial goods and services. Not only must your company be compliant, but your vendors need to be as well. Jennifer will review management policies and directives, examine the lifecycle of a vendor relationship and discuss minimizing risk from using vendors.

FFIEC Cybersecurity Self-Assessment Tool

On June 30, 2015, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) released its Cybersecurity Assessment Tool to help financial institutions identify their cybersecurity risk management practices and assess their preparedness. This Assessment Tool comes on the heels of the FFIEC's cybersecurity pilot assessment at more than 500 financial institutions around the nation. Schneider Downs' Senior Manager Daniel J. Desko, CISA, CISSP, MBA, will be explaining the benefits of understanding the Cybersecurity Assessment Tool, and how it can benefit your financial institution. Contained in this presentation will be a discussion on the inherent risk profile and the maturity level of five important domains.
