Dealership Transactions Are Bittersweet

I recently witnessed history as Al Hendrickson, Jr. said goodbye to his dealership, which his family has owned since 1989.  Schneider Downs has been riding with the Hendrickson family for nearly two decades.  We can certainly say, “We’ve appreciated the ride!”

To elaborate, the sale didn’t just make history because the notable dealership exited long-time family ownership.  It also made history in that Al Hendrickson Toyota set a record for the highest transaction price for a single dealership, per Haig Partners.  Al’s family grew their dealership location into the #2 highest-volume Toyota dealership in the nation.

Our relationship with the Hendrickson family is about to change.  The beauty of what we do at Schneider Downs is that our scope of services can change to accommodate a family’s next venture. We have served as their automotive advisors for quite some time.  Now we will serve them in other ways as they move into other opportunities.  We are happy for the Hendricksons!  We are sad that our time with them as automotive advisors has come to an end, but we look forward to helping them with whatever their future holds.

We bid adieu to one phase and embrace another, committed to accompanying the Hendrickson family on their voyage, no matter the route they choose. With heartfelt congratulations, a tinge of melancholy, and excitement, we embark on this new leg of our shared journey, ready to embrace the unwritten chapters that lie ahead.
